This page explains the website technologies in the current MyHandyman pages. Cookies and local storage do different jobs; some are used for analytics and some remember an action on your device.
Analytics
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
The current website includes Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EHYY8140B6). Its Google tag can place cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors and maintain analytics session information. Google describes typical lifetimes of up to two years, subject to settings and browser controls.
Analytics cookies are not required to request a service. The Google tag loads only after you accept analytics cookies. You can reject them and change your decision through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Local Storage
INSTALL PROMPT PREFERENCE
If you press “Not Now” on the website install prompt, the browser stores myhandyman-pwa-dismissed locally to hide that prompt for seven days. This preference is removed if you install the app. The service worker may cache pages and assets for offline access.
This local storage preference is separate from Google Analytics cookies.
Your Controls
MANAGE YOUR BROWSER
You can review or remove cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies should not stop you from contacting us, although clearing local storage may cause the install prompt to appear again.
